This policy explains what information RocketDash: World Domination (“RocketDash”, “the game”) collects, why, and the choices you have. RocketDash is made by Aptangle Labs (“we”, “us”).
The Short Version
- You can play without creating an account or giving us your name.
- The game backs up your progress to the cloud so you don’t lose it, using an anonymous account.
- If you choose to sign in with Google, we store your Google account’s email address so your progress can follow you between devices.
- We collect gameplay statistics and crash reports to fix bugs and improve the game. You can turn this off in Settings with Share usage data.
- The game does not show ads and has no in-app purchases today. We don’t sell your information.
- RocketDash is intended for players aged 13 and over.
Information We Collect
Game Progress (Cloud Saves)
On phones and tablets, RocketDash automatically creates an anonymous account for your installation through Google Firebase Authentication. Your save file, which includes your progress, stars, coins, unlocked items and in-game settings, is backed up to Google Cloud Firestore along with the device type (for example “Android” or “iPad”), a short summary of your progress and the time of the last backup. The anonymous account has a random identifier and is not linked to your name.
Google Sign-In (Optional)
If you choose Sign in with Google in Settings, your anonymous account is linked to your Google account so that two devices signed in to the same account share one save. We receive and store the email address of that Google account. We do not receive your Google password, contacts or other account data. You can sign out at any time in Settings.
Gameplay Statistics, Performance and Crash Reports
Unless you turn off Share usage data, the game sends the following to Google Firebase:
- Google Analytics for Firebase: gameplay events (for example a mission started or finished, items bought with in-game coins, settings changed) and app-usage information, with a Firebase app-instance identifier. On Android, Google Analytics may also collect your device’s advertising ID where your device settings allow it, and Google Signals is enabled.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports and error details, with an installation identifier, device model and operating system version.
- Firebase Performance Monitoring: loading and timing measurements, with an installation identifier, device and operating system information and approximate country.
Notifications
On Android, if you allow notifications, the game registers with Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send occasional game messages. This uses a push token that identifies your installation. Daily Challenge reminders are scheduled on your device itself and do not send any information to us. You can turn notifications off in the game’s Settings or in your device settings.
Device Backups
On Android, your save may also be included in your device’s own backup to your Google account (Android Auto Backup). That backup is managed by Google under your Google account settings; we can’t access it.
What We Don’t Collect
RocketDash does not collect your name, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone or camera data, and it has no chat or messaging between players.
How We Use Information
- To keep your progress safe and let you continue on another device.
- To understand how the game is played, balance difficulty and decide what to improve.
- To find and fix crashes and performance problems.
- To send game notifications you have allowed.
- To answer you when you contact us.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to show you advertising inside the game.
Who We Share It With
We use Google Firebase (Google LLC) to provide authentication, cloud saves, analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring and notifications. Google processes this information on our behalf and under its own terms; see Privacy and Security in Firebase and the Google Privacy Policy. Because Google Signals is enabled, Google may associate analytics data with Google accounts of users who have turned on personalised ads in their Google settings. Cloud save data is stored in the United States.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our players and our company.
Your Choices
- Share usage data: in Settings, turn this off to stop Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring.
- Notifications: turn off in Settings or your device settings.
- Advertising ID: on Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s Google settings.
- Google sign-in: sign out at any time in Settings.
Deleting Your Data
You can ask us to delete your cloud save, your account (anonymous or Google-linked) and associated data at any time. Email [email protected] with the subject “RocketDash data deletion request”. If you signed in with Google, send it from that Google account’s email address, or tell us which device you play on, so we can find your data. We will confirm when it’s done, normally within 30 days. Uninstalling the game removes the save from your device; it does not by itself delete the cloud copy. Analytics data is kept by Google Analytics for a limited period and then deleted automatically.
How Long We Keep It
We keep cloud saves for as long as your account exists so that you can return to your progress, and delete them on request. Crash reports and analytics data are kept for the periods set in our Firebase settings and then deleted automatically.
Children
RocketDash is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections, and cloud saves are protected so that each account can read and change only its own save. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to This Policy
We will update this policy when the game changes how it handles information, for example if we add purchases or advertising, and we will change the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced in the game.
